Air brush much

Magazines try to give you the illusion that celebrities, places, and things are the ideal image of perfection. If you do not possess those qualities or self image of those celebrities, you are not perfect. Some of these images want us to idolize these individuals and for us to aspire to be like them. Headlines on magazines are saying, “Look at the sexy socialite" and underneath the photo another headline saying, "She is perfect". When you see this type of headline people may react by buying that outfit or to start exercising by running around the track to become tone and slim.
Even though magazines are supposed to be used for entertainment purposes, each magazine has a hidden agenda they want the viewer to see. Magazines can have a negative impact, especially the gossip magazines. Gossip magazines expose the negative aspect of a person life such as drinking, partying, and walking around half naked. This is not the role model that we would want our kids, brothers and sisters to see. Men are represented as powerful and strong while woman is betrayed as a half naked accessory. Images that stand out to me are usually the ones that show the hot current trends. Usually I don't buy magazine. I save $4.53 or more by putting the magazine back on the shelf and go online to Google to find what I need instead bringing them home so that my daughter or my sisters would not see very explicit pictures of half naked woman with a headline saying I am beautiful. People love embarrassing and demoralizing images that are deviance. It gives most of us something to talk about. I'm assuming the message that would come across to me is that I would have to be half naked on a magazine and rich to be beautiful.
