The celebrity of athletes

I have met a lot of people. I've met singers, actors and comedians, but my least favorite are athletes. On television their presentation comes off as a guy who believes in teamwork and giving back to the community.( Off the cameras they are a complete different person. Athletes tend to make money with endorsements such as, Nike, Gatorade, Reebok, Propel and  TNT and some even model. Some athletes get offered to be in movies, music videos and even do voices for cartoons. There expanding there fame by venturing off into different business. Because their not limiting themselves to just sports, it influence our next generation to go after there dreams because anything is possible and there isn't a limitation on how much you can succeed. I think endorsements helps some of the athletes because it lets people know that there just not a person who throws  footballs or make shoots, they're letting people know they have a voice and other talents.

I found that a lot athletes get caught up into sex scandals. Tiger Woods was one of the most talked about scandals. Michael Vick was sued for knowingly giving a girl herpes; and when 17 players of the Minnesota Vikings didn't bring there proper bedroom etiquette to a cruise they left condoms, KY jelly, wet wipes, and sex toys for the maid to clean up. I'm not saying that they shouldn't be able to get it on, but just because there athletes doesn't mean they shouldn't get there mess up or they have to be so messy about they whole situation. It always seems as if when they start losing there self control they start losing in the game. Usually, when sex scandals start arising shorty and they're  Public relation person try to clean it up. If  they don't do a good job an announcement will be made that person is resigning or being asked to step down from a position.

Are they role models?  If its that's genuine good guy we see on television I would say yes.If its that person that gives back to the community and try to make a difference i would differently say yes. Being as though the life as an athlete or any other of celebrity isn't easy most of them fall into the temptations that come along with the industry. I'm NOT saying there not human and shouldn't be entitled to mistakes. When they signed a contract to be in the public eye they should carry themselves accordingly. Its certain responsibility to be upheld. Even though they will be times of them doing things that we may not all agree on
but they should have people around them that they can trust instead having friends take pictures of you doing whatever and posting it on tweeter or Facebook.

How artists are making it today?

Artists are trying to make a living from every angle. Their selling clothes, jewelry, purses, hair-weaves if you name it they invested in it. They found ways to make money instead of depending on their manager to call shoots. Most artists link up with companies to get endorsement deals. Usually artists start a trend with a product, then the next thing you know its a must have. Online there's  a picture of some celebrity  holding a Michael Kors bag and  now the store is flooded of a new clientele, then the endorsements starts. Sometimes its as if the stumble upon endorsements. Some artist save money by having a twitter account, Facebook, Myspace  or instagram to advertise themselves to keep themselves relevant. They constantly  let people know when there album is being released, and they're  fans follow them and they have a direct link to the artist. They feel as if they have a personal connection when they get to see a glimpse of the artist personal life.

For the most part sex sells. Artists are wearing less clothes and higher heels. Sexier dance routines  and attractive men or woman to lure the crowd in. When pictures get linked to places such as Bossip, TMZ, or mediatakeout, its not by accident. Those pictures are to keep them relevant and to keep them on the most Google inquiry. Sex tapes are linked at least once every three months from people who have slowly faded out the lime life.

A couple of people have been discovered off of the Internet such as Justin Bieber, Dondria, Souljia Boy, and  Non stop. ( I more than sure there is more) Everyone is self promoting themselves. Eventually it will start affecting the record company, because there not providing as much resources as they used to. Record producers used to have to work hard but not with the way technology is growing . With new marketing strategies everyone listening to there I pod  or listening to slacker from there phone. Yes it is destroying the radio. Its not hurting them right now but sooner or later it will be. People buy cds to have the hard copy, but also the whole CD is on spotify why even waste your money  buying cds.

To sum thing up, this past decade of music videos and marketing strategies has change. The industry doesn't have to many passionate artists who put a lot of work into the music. They come out with one hot song and a horrible music video that doesn't even match the song.
